The Windsor Takes It All (almost)

MG have launched the WINDSOR EV, a 5-seater MPV that received much attention today because of its unique battery subscription pricing model. Gobar NCRAP has decided to evaluate its safety specification.

The top-of-the-line MG WINDSOR EV 'Exclusive' 38 kWh earns Gobar NCRAP's second-best 'RECOMMENDED' verdict: the variant includes three-point belts with reminders and head restraints for all seats, six airbags, ESC, ISOFIX anchorages and a direct tyre pressure monitor. The WINDSOR EV does not feature any form of blind spot information.

Although the base MG WINDSOR EV 'Excite' 38 kWh still earns a 'RECOMMENDED', it deletes the rear centre head restraint and has only an indirect tyre pressure monitor.

Note

The evaluation result for the MG ZS EV has also been updated based on the discovery that lower variants with cloth seats are not labelled as approved for use with i-Size (ECE R129) child restraints. Its status remains unaffected.
