MG Comet Shines Bright

Today Gobar NCRAP announces updates to the safety equipment ratings of the MG Comet electric minicar, the MG Hector large SUV and its three-row version the Hector Plus.
The highest 'Exclusive' variant of the 2024 Comet now brings electronic stability control, which boosts its rating to a 'Recommended'. Lower variants continue to be rated 'Fair' as they lack this feature.
The MG Hector and Hector Plus for the 2024 model year feature reminders for the rear safety belts. With all optional equipment fitted, they are both rated 'Recommended'. But basic 'EX' variants still lack electronic stability control, well past the semiconductor shortage, and are rated only 'Fair'.
