As the quarter draws to a close, Gobar NCRAP updates ratings for the Tata TIAGO.EV electric city car and TIGOR.EV electric compact sedan.
Both cars now match their internal combustion counterparts in rear seat safety equipment, featuring new three-point safety belt with reminders and ISOFIX anchorages. The EVs each upgrade to ratings of 'Fair', from the earlier 'Not Recommended'.
Natural gas-powered variants of Maruti Suzuki's popular BREZZA compact SUV also regain electronic stability control, which was removed from the SUV's factory-fit 'S-CNG' variants last year. The basic Brezza's 'Not Recommended' rating is upgraded once again to 'Fair', still let down by the lack of three-point belts in all seats.
