Converted EVs Continue to Disappoint

Today, Gobar NCRAP announces ratings for the Mahindra XUV400. All variants earn the lowest rating of 'Not Recommended' owing in part to the exclusion of electronic stability control across the range.
In contrast, the petrol-powered XUV300 offers ESC as optional equipment on multiple variants, and Mahindra has also independently verified the system's R13-H compliance.
The XUV400 joins the likes of the Citroën ë-C3 and Tata Nexon EV Prime, both of which lack electronic stability control despite their ICE versions offering the technology, and furthers the trend of ICE-converted EVs skipping out on critical safety features.
