Gobar NCRAP first published Gobar Grades for the VW Virtus and Škoda Slavia in mid-December 2024 based on their owners' manuals, which indicated they had occupant detection. However, readers who owned these cars or their twin models quickly pointed out that, although they have occupant detection, the seat belt reminder audio signal does not begin until a belt changes status for fastened to unfastened, which does not meet the criteria for an A grade.

Gobar NCRAP quickly withdrew the grades, committing to a resolution. Although no physical test was possible, more online evidence has emerged in the last year confirming the initial reports. These are listed below:
