BNCAP has awarded the Tata CURVV, Tata NEXON and Tata CURVV.EV five stars for adult and child protection, citing largely low or limited risks of serious injury to median dummies representing belted front-seat adult males in crash tests representing an offset frontal collision with a similar car, a side impact with a small car striking the driver's door, and the car being propelled sideways into a tall, narrow roadside object like a tree or a pole targeted at the driver's head. All three vehicles have six airbags and ESC across all variants.

All three vehicles have three-point seatbelts in all seats, have ISOFIX anchorages and are i-Size compatible, and have a switch to manually disable the front passenger-side airbag, in the unlikely event that a rearward-facing child restraint should need to be installed there. Child dummies representing 18-month and 3-year old children received near-maximum points in dynamic testing for front and side impact, using the Joie i-Spin Safe child restraints recommended by Tata and installed rearward-facing in the vehicles' i-Size rear outboard seating positions using the ISOFIX lower anchorages and a support leg. It is important to note that the owners' manuals of the vehicles recommend leaving the 'Tri-Protect' flap on the endorsed restraint closed.

A comprehensive evaluation of the safety specification of the three SUVs can be found in the Gobar NCRAP vehicle safety index.
